Back from Taipei

Back from Taipei and going off to HongKong in a few hours time. Crazy work schedule. It was visit to the "Monga" streets and town, XiMenDing, Shilin night market, whole night of roaming on the Taipei streets, drinking beer at lounge and Macdonald supper in the room till late night. Can't wait for the HongKong turn to be over. Doing with my favorite batchboy again. Haha.
Life gets so busy that people hardly talk or meet now. Is it really time-constraint or people just don't make effort, quite enough?

Monday lurve~

Quite a heavy downpour outside right now. Brother drove my car and I can't go anywhere. Been craving for chicken rice over the past few days and mummy is so sweet to buy me that for lunch. Awaken up to a wet weather plus a good whole packet of Singapore chicken rice, what else can I ask for? Maybe for my pimples to go away. Been haunting me for weeks, and every day when I look at the mirror, I get so demoralized. So tell me. what have I missed out over the past 8days when I was away? New relationships? New found loves? New goals? Haha.

A week of away with batchboy was so cool. A week of hanging out together, drinking, enjoying good food and snapping pictures away was so fun. Colleagues still thought we were an item despite our umpteen times of clarification. In the end, we just gave up. Haha. Nobody dared to sit beside me on bus, cos they said that's for batchboy. Ya la... Whatever.. *laugh*

Anyway, this is raman from Tokyo. I so love the EGG you know....! Yum~
*grin*

Monday lurve~ :)

BITCH

Maybe.... it's so much better to be a BITCH sometimes. Even when people get on your nerve, you can just roar and be a BITCH and get away with it, without getting emotional, without bothering how the others would have felt, without worrying how people would have thought of you.

Be a BITCH is good.
Like seriously.

from LAX

Hi! I am calling from Los Angeles, AGAIN. *stick out tongue* I was here like 2weeks ago. Time checked. Now is 2.40am. I am having weird sleeping pattern. After work, checking into the nice hotel room, thinking after shower and a short nap will just be nice to wakie in the late evening for dinner. I was so physically and mentally mind drained. So was batchboy and the rest. We continued sleeping and ignored our hungry stomachs! Haha... Food and sleep, seriously I would love to have both but if I could only have one, I rather sleep. And fancy now waking up at this hours, stuffing myself with fruit yogurt, green tea cookies, red bean dessert and milk tea, all from Japan. Hehehe... Oh so satisfied and I think I can go back to sleep anytime soon, and then to wake up in time for my American Breakfast. ;)

You know I always have this love-hate relationship with Facebook. I love it because you can see all your friends' updates even if you don't have time to contact, talk proper and meet. You get to know what's happening in their life in the daily recent and probably, you catch up with them on your own pace. I hate it because (maybe not exactly hate, but it's not an exactly nice or good feeling. it's more of a negative vibe that comes to you.) people don't tell you stuffs personally anymore. They might as well publish their thoughts and latest status in Facebook and let everyone else knows without having to informing each and everyone. Okay, it's quite a good communication outlet actually but I just feel it has lost that sense of human touch.

I come to know friends who are attached and I only realise it when I log in to Facebook. Not that I mind, not that it matters so much to me, but it has happened to me so many times. People whom you are somehow close, and hang out together for awhile, but because of job nature, people hardly meet, and then they have better chances of meeting other people when you are not around, and you are opened to more options and probably perhaps, slowly you will forget who and what you used to like. And then you move on to the readily available choices. Right?

Not that I really like or mind those who jumped into relationships during the week when I am not around, and then to found out myself through Facebook. I am left wondering, so.... feelings do fade over times huh? And it's so easily being replaced? No matter how much people claim their heart always skip a beat for you, no matter how much people claim how much they feel for you seem like a knot tied in the heart, no matter how much they claim the feeling for you is so breath-taking, somehow it can just change over the night.

But really, only to this point, I realise a lot of things don't work out and will never work out, if people never have the time to meet each other and talk proper, you find yourself detaching from the strong feeling you may use to have from certain people, and then to divert your attention and heartfelt feeling to the next new person who steps into your life. But hell I seriously understand. We are all human beings. Physical togetherness and communication play such huge important roles in relationships, and if you don't even have time for either one, be mindful that things will change, people will change and then you will wake up to a day of facts to realise that eh...actually those people who claim how much they like you how much they actually feel you have actually deteriorated, and people is getting over you.

I don't know what I am worrying for. I guess I am not. Hehe. Maybe that little tad of scare that people whom you care for, left you the last one to know everything, people whom you thought they sincerely do care for you, decided that the care they used to have for you have to be replaced and shift to someone else in their life now. And then you are left alone to update yourself with what's going through Facebook. Haha. I don't blame and I can't blame. I am guilty of that too. Arriving at every country, updating my Facebook status on my whereabouts, what's happening to me and who I have been missing. And sometimes I am wondering, who can live without Facebook? Haha....

Like what the fortune teller told me last time, I see it happening and happening all over again. It's a little hell load of scary, or should I always believe destiny and fate lie in my own hands?

My thoughts went wild again. But I tell you, my 6th sense is back. Really.
=)

Love, from LAX gmt-7.

。。很期待。

window period

Hi! How's everyone doing? Not in the best of my time now. Crazy huge pimple that pops out on my "almost flawless" (*laugh*) cheek during my tokyo-los angeles trip, and it's still happily sticking with me right now and refuses to go away. Work hasn't been exactly that smooth, pretty much lately actually. I growing fatter and fatter, and when I always say I want to exercise and diet, I always give in to temptation. And I have not so helpful family and friends keep feeding me with food, probably they are thinking there might be a war soon and if I don't eat I may just starve to death and look so not pretty. I am already so not pretty now, with a pimple on the face, and a butt that takes up 2 seats. Okay. Please let me sound a little exaggerating can? *pout out tongue & roll eyes*

People whom I haven't spoken to for years can suddenly call me, and me, being so paranoid and realistic, the first I ask was "eh you wanna sell me insurance huh....haven't talk to you for so long and now you suddenly call me." He said..."I know I sound like an insurance agent but I am not la...I am an auditor okay...Just wanna meet you and catch up." I am like....oh so thinking...after so many years from poly days? Haha. Probably it's time to meet the unexpected. =)

Mandy so enlightened me about the "window period" thing. I think I won't have realised it until she said. Maybe some people may think we should decide our own fate. But frankly, I do believe everything has a time frame. It's an unspoken rule for everything in your life including the people that crossed path your destiny. After the window period, we will be back to square one again, and something else will come along and create another window period with you. There's a lot decisions making during these so called window periods. Cos you know once you pass the deadline, it's over. You missed it, it may be kind of hard to pull back that string of chemistry. So still part of it you are actually still creating your own fate, just in a given time frame. Fair enough? I guess so. We should all move away from those expired window periods, and stop even being that little bit of hopefulness for the slightest chance to extent the periods.
:)

Off to paris tonight. Just in time to be back on friday and to savour the weekend offs.

xoxo.

jeopardizing

There are times when everything seems to be so wrong, putting you in jeopardizing position. You sigh more than you smile. Even when you do pull your lip muscles so that they create an illusion of happy sign, you come to a point to even doubt yourself about the amount of genuine contentment in it.

How much to shallow, how much to tolerate?

Tighten my jaws. And tell myself...

Embrace...and Be Strong.!

Shinjuku love~

Been eating and eating and eating, and then still eating right now, typing away this entry (*duh*) like non stop for the past few days. Indulge myself with a lot of carbo, meat and ice cream (even during work), and then to feel guilty, thinking I must have put on at least 5kg, with a protruding tummy, flabby arms and thunder thighs, and yet still eating away. *shake head*

Anyway, can't wait to be home soon.

Shinjuku love~

was happy

I was so happy, cos my hair can still be up and pong pong, after struggling to tie my barely can tie up hair for almost an hour. Few hours of work only and I already felt that tired. No choice, auntie here is getting old already la... Work a little bit more I complain, stand a bit longer I will faint. Age is catching up. Haha.. And today I was especially in deep thoughts. At the crew's seat, when serving food, and even when talking to my colleagues. I couldn't be that good in multi-tasking huh? Hell, what was I thinking sial...?

Leaving on a long work trip this Saturday. I am so hoping to see Sakura along the journey. Maybe I will be lucky? Hehe...

Well, good night people. And very sweet dreams! :)

Arteastiq

Went hightea with the girls at Arteastiq that day. It was a very cosy & girly cafe , accompanied with classic english ambience, quite a perfect place to go with your girlfriends for some girlish gathering. However, I think...perhaps your man will like it as well, cos you like it ma, so he has to like it lor. Haha... so bring him one day. Hehe...

Check out their website, http://www.arteastiq.com/ and then fall in love with it! =p

Was back to training centre for SEP these 2days. Was so tired and that I almost could have fallen asleep at every corner. And the only thing to keep me awake was facebooking and msning in class. Haha.
I don't know how am I going to tie my hair later. It barely can tie up now. I want to grow my hair, so that I can have pong pong hair again. =p

Hmm....what else? Hmmm.... Oh I think guys nowadays are so much more sensitive than girls huh? Was in class and a friend messaged to ask if I wanted to have dinner together. Just because I didn't reply immediately, he claimed I was being attitude. Or could it have be really me?

Flaring up at the slightest matter, getting upset over things and people just because I thought they didn't meet my expectations, dealing with sensitive new age guys and the list goes on. I was looking and browsing through those evidences of the past, and they made me miss how everything was actually used to be. We were all admiring and appreciating one another's good sides and not blaming one another just because we didn't get the care and concern we wanted. Not that things have changed so dramatically now, not that people have changed so dramatically now, is it because we just don't know how to get along with one another anymore? And then to decide, "cannot get along ar...forget it, move on and never look back."

Moving on, and yet we still like to peep and secretly hope for some unexpected miracles.

belle thinking

I was thinking, just thinking, that our lives get so busy that we don't talk to our friends and loved ones, and perhaps sometimes we don't even have time for ourselves. And the most comfortable measures to still stay connected with one another are probably through facebook, msn and smses. When was the last time you said "I miss you" to those you really care for?

Seriously, I don't remember when was the last time I actually said it.

So, are you missing anyone right now? Or maybe you won't know what you have been missing until it arrives or you won't know how much someone or something actually meant to you until one day when you know you have completely lost it. No?

yolene-ish

Was having this casual meaningless conversation with a colleague at work earlier on. And then now, he just sent me a msg through WhatsApp, talking about the same topic again!

"honestly, you don't have the mistress look, but really got the high maintenance look lor. my 2cents worth."

*smack forehead*

ROLL EYES.

2days ago at another work trip, the set of colleagues thought I look the most bitchy of all.

Well, well, maybe it's really me la.

Some people think I don't eat at hawker centres, only dine at high-class restaurants and hotels.

Some people think I have many LV, Prada, Miu Miu and Chanel.

Some people think I have plenty of money to spend, either from my dad or their classic illusion of "yolene has a super rich and handsome boyfriend who can buy her whatever she wants."

Some people think I look (am) aloof and arrogant as if I own the world. And I don't give a damn to those unnecessary people and things around me.

And worst of all, some people even think I don't deserve to be nice to at all, just because they think I didn't treat others well. I am stuck up and as usual, like what many others commented, "yolene is super hard to please lor...."

We always choose to remember the unhappy incidents, but always forget about the kindness that people give us, and those happy occasions.
What to do? We are all human beings. Nice things are harder to remember. I so agree, cos I always remember the evil and nasty sides of people. *laugh*

I don't bother anymore. One day, or some day, someone of a greater worth will come along. Someone who doesn't need me to pretend to be someone I am not. Someone who likes me, just become I am that yolene-ish. Haha... ;p
Unrealistic expectations lead to unrealistic disappointments.
And it all boils down to what you know? Stupidity.

Manila later. Give me a good one.

Bless You.

Back from Melbourne. Was quite a splendid flight, minus off the "evil step mother" and some weirdos. Haha... Otherwise, it was tiring but good, with some people worth remembering. ;)

Got to hear some news about a friend's mummy. Somehow a part of me wish to be there, another part of me thinks it probably going to be so weird, especially when I am going to see certain people and friends around. I think the whole atmosphere gonna be so weird, so awkward. Moreover, things have changed, people have moved on and grew out from the past. Or is it just me that think this way? Oh well, I hope he is coping, really.

May God Bless You.

A day in Melbourne

A day in Melbourne... :)

Mel...before the summer goes away..

Leaving for melbourne tonight. Been changing away all the aussie flights for the past few months, but this time around, I decided to visit the melbourne city for once again, before the summer goes away. :)

You know it's kind of strange that you have to constantly convince yourself of the many possibilities that may arise, and then to realise every time when you are almost reaching the final destination, that this isn't the destination you want to arrive at. You don't know why, and yet you are scared when you leave that destination, you may regret. But then again, you know deep down in your heart, that's not your ultimate choice, not your ultimate destination you want to reach upon. Hell loads, too much thinking! Haha...

Mr Teddy

Would you adopt me, please?
Mr Teddy, said. ;p

Home after 8days. Was crazily tired. Maybe I am old and fat already. This kind of lifestyle can kill me someday. Though, as much as I really love it.

A course to attend tomorrow.
I can't wait for 5.30pm, for it to be over. Ha.

You know it's so strange having to flip through albums and albums, recalling past memories, and then to begin wondering to oneself if there was love in the first place? I know it's so unnecessary but there are just times when you want to question the uncertainty. But probably now the answer isn't important anymore. Because, it's not going to make any difference. Hee. :)

I try diverting my attention to other stuffs and people in my life. And just when I thought that diversion is possible and maybe comfortable, people disappoint me or rather perhaps it's not they disappoint me, it could be me who just don't understand why certain things or certain relationships turn out in a certain dimension that probably I can't bring myself to accept.

Maybe the liking just isn't enough.
Maybe the love just isn't enough.
Maybe it's the wrong timing.
Maybe the expectations are way beyond the abilities.
Maybe it just doesn't mean to be in the first place.

And then to speculate why the hell do we still want to prove things wrong, and continue indulging in those little tiny hopes that may surface from those loopholes, secretly wishing some miracles do happen and piece every bits together to form a picture together?

Anyway, do you understand what I am writing? I am getting a little confused myself here. Haha...

Don't worry. I am perfectly fine and happy. Just that at some point of times, I get emotionally carried away and I wish I could hear from you, or maybe you, or probably even you and you.

Okay good night!

Friday, March 12, 2010

he said...

He said,....

"After my father passed away, everything seems to make sense. No matter how many times you fail, how hard you fall, as long as you still have your life, you can always start all over again. I had been through the lowest point in my life. Nothing can go lower than that and I never forget.

I came to Singapore at the age of 13. Straight away after I got off the plane at Changi Airport, I went to clean the bungalow at Pasir Ris resort. My mum was already there cleaning and I went over to help. Money didn't come easy. My mum said for the sake of better life and education for me, my brother and sister, everything was worth it. I was the youngest janitor you probably ever seen in schools. Even the principals were skeptical about me at such young age, doing all the work, cleaning the toilets, sweeping the roads, going through the lifestyle that an normal teenager shouldn't be leading.

Time was tough. My parents, myself and 2 siblings, we stayed in a one room flat. 5 persons squeezing and trying to live, but we all survived and somehow contented, because we are together. My family was together. That's what matters most. We often got loan sharks splashing paint at our door, knocking our doors in the middle of the night. It was the landlord who left all these trouble shit behind for us to handle. It was often nightmares, nightmares and followed by more nightmares.

I am very grateful for today. For whatever I have now. Not just my job, my car, my house but for all the incidents and events that happened in my life. If I am given a choice, I will still choose to come to Singapore again in the first place, going through the same thing again, meeting the same people in my life again. If not for all these, I wouldn't be who I am today."

Tears were stirring in his eyes.

I can't wait to see this friend in sfo again.

;)
And oH...that Mr. Tan was on my flight just now. He was going back to Singapore from San Francisco. And the most ironical part was, he was seated on my business class aisle. Hell so freaky. What can be so coincidentally?

Whatever la. Can't wait to wake up to eat.
Haha.. ..
Goodnight=)

Dongdaemun

Checked in the room at 845pm, Seoul time. I decided that I was not hungry, and neither do I want to sleep early. Changed out of my uniforms, I didn't even rest my legs, put on a jacket, took a cab, ALONE to Dongdaemun. Spent almost 3 hours there, spent some money, concluded that I was happy and contented for the night. =p

Hungry and sleepy, like right NOW!
Better sleep first.
My mask and bed is waiting for me.

I think I should see a skin doctor when I come back. Been getting all the red spots and rashes attack ever since. Yucks.!

night trail in sfo

Met the good friend last night. He drove me to a random japanese restaurant for dinner, then he brought to this night trail walk with him. It was dark, walking along the grasses and bushes, he got his mini torchlight to lighten the path as we walked. It was cold, mad darkness, you heard birds crying, the unusual serenity of the surrounding, the dark under tunnel which I thought no one would actually go there at this hour cos you wouldn't be able to see a single thing without a torchlight, and to my frankly, I was pretty scared. Haha. But I had his strong arms to guide me along the long and hypothetical path, to another amazing place he was bringing me to. =)

The view was bewildering. I saw the Golden Gate Bridge from another side of the island. I witnessed the calm and the astonishing night view of California. And at the other end of the bridge, it's San Antonio. I would so loveeeee to visit that city one day.

Actually I have more to write about, but I gotta run to prepare for work. Going back to Seoul in a while. Till I reach Seoul, I promise. ;p

Bumped into dear Joey in San Francisco.
Tell you more tomorrow.
Need to head to the bed, like very badly. *cover mouth & giggle*

sfo!

I can't get enough of the fisheye effect, so I must show it off, with more products. Hee. =D
Just arrived San Francisco. With a tired body, injured finger, but a mind to shop later. *LOL* Already washed my uniforms and am now removing my nail polish and blogging at the same time. Trying to multi-task and oh well, it all seems to work. :) Am so going to take my time to shower and head out for a walk.

Maybe it's all destiny.

BK Craze:)

Dragged myself out of the bed at 10ish in the morning, pour the cereal I bought from Christchurch in a big bowl, open the fridge, see no milk, I use soya milk instead. Scoping, munching with my half-open eyes. Showered and got my wheels moving to Pomo Centre. Spent 2hours plus there, watching some old hongkong series they were playing on their dvd player. And now, I have a fresh new set of nails. ;p

Was so hungry after the nails thingy and I so craved for Burger King okay. (don't ask me why. I just want to have a burger from Burger King. unusual craving. ha..) Knowing Mr Chua was in town, but I was late by that split second. People already "dabao" and just hop into a cab heading home, for flight later when I returned the call. He almost burst my phone while I was doing my nails and just when I was done and needed someone to eat Burger King with me, he's gone. *smack forehead*

Couldn't find Burger King near my place. I settled for Mac instead. Happy still. So much so for the little craving. =)

Tuesday, March 02, 2010

Leaving for Christchurh later, then to Seoul and San Francisco. Gonna be a busy and packed month ahead.

Nevertheless, welcome Marchy! Wondering what surprises you have for me. ;p

Love.

♥

~The important thing is to not be bitter over life's disappointments. Learn to let go of the past & recognize that every day won't be sunny. & when you find yourself lost in the darkness of despair, remember that it's only in the black of night that you see the stars, & those stars lead you back home. ♥~

How enlightening huh? Hee...

Just drove home from work. Waiting for daddy to buy supper back for me. Isn't he sweet? In and out of love times and times, the only man who never forget to love me, the only man whom I can be very sure who will love me forever, is him.
Muacks daddy!

2cents worth

Had a nice home-cooked dinner at danny's place. Didn't know he can cook so well. Along with his friends, it was dinner followed by wine and more wine. And I was vomiting while walking home. Pretty lousy huh? Passer-bys stopped and asked if I was okay. And hey I am good at rolling eyes, someone said. Haha. Though I couldn't remember how I replied those strangers, I think probably I was rolling my eyes at that point of time. HA!

In life (my life), there are many passer-bys. And they all add on to the chapters of my life. And some passer-bys aren't really that passer-bys actually. Seriously I wish they do stay. But I am weak. I don't know how to tell. There is a phase, there seems to be an imaginery deadline. Once I bypass it, I won't be able to get it back. Like I always believe, once you miss it, it's gone forever.

My 2cents worth.
=)

Super random thoughts at these hours...
I can't stand myself too! *laugh*

Off to bed.
Still have to work in the afternoon later.
Good night=p

难免还是会有那么一点伤感。

我要加油, till a day when I don't even feel a bit of grief at all.

:)

a lighter note

I don't know what's wrong with me. First it was mouth ulcers, then it was rashes and now I woke up with a phelgmy sore throat. All three not a single one recovered, and they are all together now. #$%^&*!

Called up for Jarkata turnaround tomorrow afternoon and then I will be taking a short break from work for a few days. That's a lighter note. :)

Tuesday, February 23, 2010

What happened when someone is so eager to see you for that 1minute, just to pass you Bonjela, because he heard (or rather read from facebook) that you have ulcers?

I was just plain ranting about my mouth ulcers and I didn't know there are people who actually take it so seriously. Or maybe he has been doing this to many other girls. Sometimes it's how they get plus point. Haha. Mean it or not, still....
Thank you. =p
Much appreciated.

I have been having red patches all over my legs and they are so itchy Someone says maybe it's eczema and it happens to people who fly a lot. Boo!

gmt+7

Heya! Pretty much awake at this hour, time checked, it's almost 2am Singapore time. I didn't catch a single wink last night. Was tossing and turning, and my stupid iphone alarm burst out real loud at 430am, i jumped out from my bed, feeling that tad little bit of disappointment, that I didn't sleep at all, and it's time for work already. To add on, I discovered 2 ulcers on my lower lips! My idiotic younger brother is horrible. He said, "jie, asked you don't kiss so hard with the guys already. you see la, now 2 ulcers." And then he went "hahahaa... I go shower le..going camp..don't ask me give you a lift to airport huh...not very on the way..." Hell, is that my brother? *laugh*

Good thing it's not long working hours just now. Managed to check in hotel pretty early, I logged on to the net, downloaded my shows, showered, read Cleo and dozed off, woke up in the evening, just nice for room service and my shows were ready. Went back to sleep again after my dinner and shows. Didn't manage to get into deep sleep though. But I don't care la. Coming back home soon, I can't wait.

Love from gmt+7
:p

momentum

It feels so strange, like when I was working non-stop consecutively for many days, I kind of enjoy the momentum and the idea of being away, away from family, friends and everyone. But when I have more than 3days in Singapore, the thought of going back to work the following day just dragged.

How's your weekend? Mine was calm, peaceful, relaxing, well spent. Having meals with people whom I haven't met for ages, talking to people whom I wanna talk to and not forgetting spending some quality time at home, even if I am lazing around, doing nothing. Highly selective. Haha. Sorry. I was just feeling pretty much anti-social for the past few days. Living in my own world, indulging in my own fantasy. Quite good actually. No disturbance. I don't have to bother or care about what others think or say about me.
Love it. =D

too busy

Have been embracing a lot of cold weather for the past few months. Just when I was contemplating earlier on if I should make a work trip to Switzerland right after I come back from my 9days work trip from Frankfurt New York, it was a decision between extra income and the time spent in Singapore. I have decided to give it a miss eventually.

Ya... I was "too busy" to come out with a conclusion, and that's why it took me forever to even conclude such simple quotation. To think I am so busy to even reply the simplest message. Yes, I think I am very busy showering, packing stuffs, and yet trying very hard to stay very awake on the computer screen after not sleeping for 36hours, just to catch up with the people whom I deem are important in my life.

When life gets hectic, work gets busy and my mind and body get drained out, all I need is for you and you and even you, to say, I understand.

17 Again

Just finished watching "17 Again" on the HBO channel, and had a great cry over it. And.... Zac Efron is super hot. *hehehe*

Time to head to the sack. Good night!
